This works great. I found 91 caches (prior to purchasing a GPSr) using only the Google Maps and (later) Geocaching apps. Paperless geocaching with the Geocaching app is a definite strength. Even without it, you can print cache pages/maps to PDF beforehand and view those while searching. If you are in range of wi-fi, the iGCT and Google Maps apps in combination (mark waypoint on satellite view) can be extremely useful. You can even log your find at the site if there's wi-fi! It can still serve you well considering the lack of true GPS capabilities.
