Started using this after purchasing my wife a new touch 2nd gen. Using this for paperless caching. I know I could get a GPS that does the same thing, but I prefer to use a GPS to find the caches, and if I need info I can use this for little or no battery power out of my GPS. Not to mention that those GPS units that do double duty for paperless are kind of pricey.

Only useful for urban geocaching, requires an internet connection to work. Good if you live in a city or are satisfied with getting in the general area of a cache.

It's not a GPSr. But it is a great companion for paperless caching. Gave it to son when we got the iPhone.

Wonderful iPod! Much better WiFi range than 2nd generation.
