I like that it is water resistant. Very durable unit for geocaching. I also like how it displays your tracks (the path you take) as you make your way to GZ.
I don't like how difficult it is to transfer things over from the Topo maps disc that is provided. Another major downside is the fact that it is nearly impossible to view the unit while driving. It works great on the trail, but not so much behind the wheel. I often use my Garmin Nuvi to get to a location, then switch over to this handheld. I also wish there was a way to transfer things directly from Geocaching.com to the Earthmate PN-20. That would make planning for a caching trip much easier than having to enter coords one by one.
Overall, I would say that the PN-20 is a good beginner unit, but that users shouldn't plan on using the Topo maps because I have not yet been able to get them to work.
