I have the old pre-2000 GPS 12 made by GARMIN.
It is still going strong despite falling apart and being glued together on 2 occasions!! I've had it since 1998 and it's been some great places with me - Everest, Antarctica, Elbrus, Dolomites as well as all over UK.
I would rate it as 3/5 because it is a pain to have to enter the set up menu every time you want to alter the Position Format and Map Datum to switch between Lat Long & British Grid Ref. Will probably get an eTrex soon.
