This is a great driving GPS. Turn by turn and it does about 75% of the smartphone stuff, email, texting, finding movies and times, points of interest, and a few others. It got poor reviews because it runs on a closed Linix system and you can't really add apps like tethering. It's also worth noting that once out of the charger, you will get about 24 hours in stand by, but with heavy use i could be dead in a matter of hours.
I Purchased the newer "Garminfone A50" which does all that the G60 does, but is built on the Andriod 1.6 OS, and you can all lots of apps. Today I added Geocaching, which is how I eneded up on this sight. The G60 device works on ATT and the newer one, called the A50 Garminfone, is sold only at T-Mobile. NOTE. I turned off the data plan for the G60, put in a "pay as you go" sim card, and now it is a GPS for the car, with a phone built in as a backup. I dont even take it out of the car. It gets the sat info just like any other gps, and the phone still wor
