When it works, it works well. I have found it "freezes" when its cold outside(pun intended), Have to pull out batteries and reinsert to reboot. In bright sunlight, screen is very hard to read, almost impossible. Batteries drain quite quickly due to backlighting. This may be my lack of feature knowledge, but if you select GO for a geocache to use the map you no longer see the azimuth/bearing in degrees. I find that frustrating.
