Granted we are new to all this but I have to say that this phone and the apps we are using seems to work very well. We use a combo of GeoCaching app and one called c:geo. The Geocaching app was about $10. and the other was free. Both also work with a Nav app we have and a Radar/compass. The only draw back is our battery life. Not too long but that's just the phone... The apps work really well. the radar has gotten us within a foot of the caches. fairly easy to use for us newcomers.
