GPS takes a bit of time to get a signal, yet it is highly accurate and does NOT require Wi-Fi to work, unlike the iPod touch. PocketDrake makes a GREAT geocaching app because it doesn't need Internet access and it can easily import/export GPX files. We have dropped this in a toilet and it still works pretty well, but the battery life is very short. Maybe because we have had it for a few years.
