GPS is not bad for aviation or geocaching, Howe er support from Lowrance is the worst. Lowrance has decided to pull the plug on all their aviation product support. They won't respond to questions or offer even the most basic support!! They are simply washing their hands of these products. That speaks loudly about the company and I will never again own another Lowrance product! As for the GPS itself, it will not connect to your computer. You need to open the battery compartment, remove the batteries, pull the memory card and then using their proprietary card reader, you can connect that to your computer. Very tedious!

Wish the buttons lit up at night like the buttons on my remote control. Pilots actually do fly at night!

I used it for aviation and works great although a bit of reading the manual is necessary for all the features. It seems for geocaching I'm usually a few feet off from readings on Garmin units. The price is more reasonable compared to Garmin though.

Well, I'm new to geocaching. I'm not sure how to rate this device based on others but it works well in the air. It's not super user friendly. Wife and I had 4 cache in GPS. The first was DNF and the second one we did. This is just a big scavenger hunt.
