I've played with this a few times now. I am seeming to get the idea of how it works. Seems pretty accurate, however the user manual that comes with the unit is far from helpful. I do like that you can load the GPX file and have all the info right there. I have learned that the battery life is kind of short, but you have to remember to turn it off at the end of your hunt! LOL.. I also wonder if there is a way to actually input coordinates if you know of a destination, and have coordinates but don't have access to be able to upload the GPX file. Don't know how customer service is with this product yet. Also.. kind of disappointed that for the kind of mony you spend, there was no lanyard or case at all for the unit.

It has been accurate, has held a signal, and has a touchscreen. The drawbacks are that it takes a looong time to boot up and acquire a signal. Also, must be moving to get an accurate compass reading.

Was using the GPS on my Samsung Omnia with little success, ended up borrowing a friend's GPS to find ANYTHING. Picked this GPS up at Gander Mtn here in town, paid around $200 for it. This device is sweet, the only time I've lost signal with this was under the metal roof at the store I purchased it from (got the display model). I have been playing around with it at work for a while, through a 2-story building, this thing has held consistent accuracy to within 22 ft. I shoved this thing into the base of a dense bush to test reception and can assure you this will work in most wooded areas. I definitely couldn't get a better product for my money.

Wow, just Wow. I love this GPS. For a few dollars more than a Venture HC, this is a significant upgrade. Touch screen, reads GPX files without converting them, paperless geocaching, great accuracy and more. The only downside is battery life. Use the built in battery saver functions and it is not so bad. I am so glad I bought this unit!
