This unit, at times, can be frustrating. We travel the US and are always turning it on in new geographical locations and it can sometimes take forever to find itself (maybe 30% of the time). One day we were tracking towards a cache and the battery died on us. After loading a new battery, it took 20 minutes to find itself. In fact, if it had a butt and two hands, it couldn't find the one with the other two.
When it is locked on, it does a great job. But when it can't lock on for 20 minutes, it takes all of the fun out of geocaching.
