I love my Lowrance GPSr. I have found over 1000 geocaches using this device. The only real downside of this product is it does not have the SERF-Star chip. When it has a lock on satellite signal, it is accurate with 10-15 feet. However, if it loses signal because of thick tree canopy or at the base of a rock out cropping, it can take a very long time (I've had it search for 30+ minutes) to re-acquire a signal. The mapping products available for this GPSr are a real value. The North American CD set (6 CDs) includes the topo and street maps as well as the waterway navigation information. While it doesn't auto-route on the street maps like the Garmin products, the increased detail of the topo maps still make it a great value. Definitely a great product all around.

Great unit while it worked. We used it for about 2 years and found around 400 caches with it. The bad things news is it quit getting gps lock for no known reason. Also the lack of availability of accessories for the unit was annoying. So it's back to the old etrex.

It is a great value for the money. The signal is strong and can be picked up indoors. There may be some bounce in the woods but I believe that it is better than most GPSrs. It has a great display. Good support from Lowrance. Very dependable. Negatives: Software not as compatible with geocaching.com then Garmin. You just need an extra step or two. Information is transfered to a SD card through a card reader. It will be interesting when the Lowrance Endura becomes available in May.

I like the portability of the SD card for multiple files while traveling. Also, being able to customize what information is on each screen is awesome. I also like that you can select many of the icons in GSAK to identify what type of cache it is.

It's been a wonderful GPS, very easy to use, quick to warm up, and very accurate.
