I can load up SD cards on various computers with waypoints and load them onto this GPSr. I find its usually right on for locations. Battery life is good. Screen has adequate (not color) resolution. Its water and weatherproof which is good for the PNW.

Excellent GPS. I like the SD card for transferring data. The Mapcreate software is barely worth while. The digital compass feature is worthless. Has everything you need for hunting, fishing or geocaching. Suggest using lithium batteries they last a long time in this GPS.

The Lowrance iFinder Explorer is an excellent GPS. The accuracy is as good as any unit on the market. It will give you 5 ft accuracy and at times be off as much as 30 ft just like other popular units. I bought the extra software package that has 3 gigs of street level maps of the lower 48 states. It has a myriad of features such as elevation for detailed topo maps and parks, recreation areas and maritime navigation aids. For the extra money the software was well worth it to me. The only thing it doesn't have that I would enjoy is "turn by turn' mapping. Overall I am very satisfied with my Lowrance iFinder Explorer.
