Very limited base map, and not able to connect to a PC to transfer data.
Accuracy seems to be very good. Plenty of features and functions, very low price. It is a great "starter" but you will eventually want more bells, whistles, and a more detailed map.

I bought this on ebay for £35 in august 2007. Did the first caches on holiday that month here in England.
It has all the usual features for a standard GPS and a good memory for auto logging a trail so can reverse the route you just walked. Does loads of things I will never use.
All you need is to put the coordinents into the thing, a bit painfull manually and move the choices to Go to.
follow the arrows and makes sure the distance is dropping.
More than enough to do geocaching. A ,ore than good enough GPS.
I use it on the newer Lithium AA batteries and still on the same set a 1 and a 1/2 on.
The screen has 2 levels of orange LED backlighting than can be set to stay on for various times from the last button press. Good for using in low light, but I never have and would ruin the excellent battery life.
Had a Garman E Trex some years ago and the battery life was bad compared to this.
Might sometimes seem a bit unresponsive, slower processor, better battery life I would think.

It works great, but I hope to upgrade to a color one later.
I would give it an average rating, but a great starter unit for Geocaching at a reasonable price.
