Got it at Bass Pro because the salesman said it was the best one there was. I was going to use it more for backpacking than hunting, but liked the features, bells, and whistles. I bought the map making software to download more detailed maps. I don't rate it very high for a number of reasons. The software can only be loaded on one computer to format only 5 SD cards. My wife takes my SD cards and uses them in the camera and wipes out my maps occasionally. I used my 5 limit and could not format or download any more maps.
But that was okay because I was having some problems with it anyway. The car charger adapter wiring broke twice and the unit itself lost it's mind just sitting in my glovebox and the screen doesn't work anymore.
I had to keep it plugged in because the menu screens are so confusing and there are so many variables to use, it just drank batteries. You could watch the battery run down as you used it. My experience was that it only lasted a couple hours at best.
