My Second Maps & Music.
If your looking for a top of the line, color, all the bells and whistles, plots your path on the computer with an elevation profile and walks your dog when it's done GPS...this ain't it.
BUT if you want a GPS that's useful, simple, has a nice big screen, works off of readily available AA batteries, accurate, and won't break the bank, then try to get one of these.
I got my current one <$80 new in package with SD card, SD reader, detailed map software, and more. They don't make them any more (I don't think) so you have to search for them pretty good.
Biggest downfalls -- I once broke one of these (I've broken 3 GPSes and 2 digital cameras in 5 years, I'm sure I dropped it a dozen times) and the headphones are not a standard jack (why the heck not). Other than that, I highly reccomend it.
