Good, rugged build, clear display, but a bit bulky. Probably better suited to mounting on bike.

Fairly easy to use (once you get used to it). Keypad is soft, strange feel to the keys. Easy to read but would be much better in color. Start-up is slooow (older proc) but unit is very accurate (including the compass). MP3 player is a pain (read: useless). Power cord is flimsy at best. Eats batteries like kids eat popcorn (use rechargables and lower the back light).

"The Doctor", was my 1st GPSr with a electronic compass. Though, the pick-up strength wasn't that good, even with WAAS enabled. I bought it at Cabella's, (where, I now see the manual & software is sitting in the bargain Cave, Separate.) The keypad is a bit sensitive.. too easy to hit the keys without even knowing it.. Memory is limited, though using a 512MB SD/MMC, to page-swap files (waypoint, track, etc. needed to be swapped into/out of the main memory.) Never got any cables with it.. Been tempted to put a female DB-9 connector into the base. Still a good, rugged GPSr!

Relatively accurate and good battery life. Expandable map capability and rugged.
