I bought the device and all the optional hardware in 2003. Was nice compared to others available then. Large display is nice. However, menu navigation is cumbersome. The PC software is complicated, but has a lot of features. device software sometimes locks up when searching POI's. Car power adapter has intermittent contact, causing the power to shutoff. Works better as hand-held, but battery life is short, even shorter with the light on.

It's alright, battery power is used up pretty quick when geocaching, but if you're looking for anything else as just a quick finder it works very well.
