It is an excellent gps for geocaching, it shows your trail which helps to find your way out of a bush. My only complaint is the battery life ( max 2.5 hrs ) ,it's a built in rechargable battery which can't be changed. I had to buy an external battery pack to plug in when the gps died.

Unit is very good, only complaint is the short battery life. Works well for snowmobiling, ATVing, and GeoCaching.

I have been using it for geochaching and locating sunken ships in Lake Erie. It has been tricky to learn how to do so. Sometimes the manual's information is pretty sparse. Still I continue to be surprised at its versitility! I coul actually see the ribs left on the "City of Concord". At once it gave me the bearingsd, cordinates, speed, miles/feet to go and straightline navigation. Of course the battery is faulty: it will not hold its charge over night. I need an external supply pack. But for $20 I can remedy this. Punky44

Great unit, add on map capability is awesome, battery life stinks. Multi purpose ability makes it a pretty good deal. Shame they discontinued it.

This a very good basic unit. Color, touch screen, scrolling, audibles for turns (or not), can add maps, songs, pictures. It puts me on the money most of the time unless it's rather humid out. On the down side, it's terrible in bright sunlight, the battery life is low (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours), and the batteries are not replaceable, or even removable. But my least favorite aspect is that every slightest touch does something to the screen! Therefore you can't carry it in a pocket or bag unless you turn it off and there is nothing to attatch to it for easy handling (that I know of). So in the field, one hand is always busy holding on to the thing - carefully. Still, it's very reliable - at least until, I suppose, the battery life ends!
