i like to have the possibility to switch the tree gps mode: topo maps, Marine marine and road maps. The gps give you all kind of tools as compas and bearing view. The 8 hour battery is a must.

It is the only GPS I have ever used so it is hard to say. It seems to take a long time to adjust when on foot.

Though it is wonderful for driving, I don't like my GPS unit for Geocaching for several reasons: 1) You can get within 50' of the cache and it starts beeping that you are "near your destination". There is no way to turn off this feature---and unfortunately, you have to exit out and bring up the waypoint---again! 2) I haven't discovered a way to import data from this site into the GPS unit. If anybody knows how, please let me know---otherwise I'm stuck with old fashioned pen and paper. 3) The touch screen is super-sensitive. Often times it thinks you've pressed a certain button, when in fact, you haven't.

Worked well once I became confident that it was accurate. A bit of a pain in close when the device stops providing directions and you need to switch to compass mode.
