This is one of three types of g-units that I own.
The user-interface (switch mech, display control, etc.) is better, more intuitive, in some ways than other types of devices that I have used. The user-interface is not so good in other ways.
Accuracy and solution performance – good for the money. At the time I bought the unit (cost me $70), it was the cheapest machine that offered WAAS.
One very bad thing about this unit and some other Magellans I have used is the way that they engineered the memory storage handling. The unit transfers information into non-volatile memory only during the process of a commanded power down. Therefore, if you have gathered waypoint information, and the unit powers off without going through the commanded power down process (e.g., batteries die), then any waypoint information that you have gathered is lost forever. Which can get you very lost. Bad, bad, bad!
The machine is a good general-purpose beater if you don’t rely on it to get you home.
