adequate performance but sometimes bounces around at cache site changing readings. definitely does not get 18 hours on a charge. easy to use and set points.

Good general GPS.

I've been using this unit since I started caching in 2004 without a hitch. The only drawback I have with it is that I'm not able to download directly to it from my Mac.

I actually own the Magellan eXplorist 100, the orange version. It's a bare bones GPS device but it works great... its accuracy has always been excellent for me. The battery life is great too. The only reason I give it four stars is because it has no way to connect to a computer, but since I typically don't enter any more than 6-7 waypoints at a time anyway, it isn't that big of a deal for me.
