This is my first GPS, so I don't technically have anything to compare it to - however - there are a couple of things that could be better on it: 1. a built-in compass. It uses the GPS feature as a "compass" which isn't really that accurate. 2. a normal USB interface/charger port. To have it plugged into external power you have to use two cables, and to sync with your PC requires a pretty silly cable. 3. It sometimes takes a really long time for it to find satellites even in a clear sky. Supposedly it only needs two satellites to plot your position, but it usually doesn't find you until you have at least five tracks...
That being said, it's still a nice little device and seems to be pretty dang accurate. I do enjoy the ability to load road/terrain maps into the unit (again, it's not a user-friendly feature, but it's there...)
