Biggest gripes with the device: * Power : main concern. Either you use the lithium battery, which does not last that long after a few years, or the battery with 3xAAA which last not very long either, requiring frequent swaps during caching. * LOOONG startup time, before it even starts fixing, media check etc. So long you don't even bother turning it off if you don't need it for 15 mins, which results in even poorer battery life * Topo maps hard/impossible to find * USB charging/storage support is great, but is done with a proprietary cable which is hard to find now. * Still no way to get osm maps on it (easily) Plusses: *Good featureset for its price at the time, including routing and SD support. You can use the SD card for all data, so you are not dependent on the proprietary cable. * multiple file support for waypoints, routes, tracks and geocaches, bypassing the usual 500 object limit. *Good satellite reception for a non sirf3
