I've had this GPS for two weeks now. I downloaded the online manual so I had an idea on how to use it when it showed up. I got this unit for hiking and fishing but found out about Geocaching, what an extra treat. Now about the unit if you have the money this is the unit for you, no extra maps to buy they are all preloaded, the touch screen makes it very easy to use and go from screen to screen. When copying Geocaching data it’s as easy as pushing the (send to GPS) button, it has a built in camera that takes great pictures. It does eat up batteries so get some good rechargeable one.

Just got it and the battery compartment won't close. E-mailed tech support a few days ago and haven't heard a word back. Other than that, it works fine. This is an upgrade from my Magellan 510 which had issues that Magellan acknowledged were issues, but refused to address. I wasn't going to buy another Magellan except that I already know how to use it...I am now having the same issue with the 710 that I had with the 510, and as usual, Magellan has admitted there is a problem, but have refused to do anything about it.
