I got this one from my uncle he bought it in 1994 used it a few months before i left it outside in a waterproof container it got drenched. Got a garmin etrex h then and now a etrex 20 loved the automatic tracking feature

Has no maps very basic. Shows waypoint and where you are. No terrain or streets. Shows a trail of where you've been with maybe 20 points spaced on user selected distances. I like that you can save waypoints with 6-character names. I like that you can have 5-routes saved. When satellites move into and out of view your position can "jump" a lot. It never found my position on the side of a hill. Finding your position after extended time off, took a looong time.
