A shitty product! Too expensive and together with the IpodTouch 4 gen a really bad combo... The battery and GPS gives just a few minutes of caching, nothing to bring out in the wood. I really feel that this is best suited in a car with an charger plugged in. The expensive bike-mount that is sold together with the product is a BAD JOKE!!!

I was pretty excited when this came out. It is solidly built and I like how it extends the battery life of my iPod but I do have some issues. First off, the device was shipped by Magellan with firmware that cannot work for Geocaching. Although they knew this and I bought it from them, they did not tell me this, but they did replace the model for free when I asked. Also, it says it can get 3-5 m accuracy with an iPod but the best I can get is 10 m. I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it would get better with an iPhone but this may be the last Magellan gps I buy.

*****DONT BUY IT*****. *****STILL BEING SOLD IN WITH DEFECTIVE FIRMWARE ***** The gps chip is set in static mode like a car sat nav. So you position will nor up date at walking speed. There is a product recall in the USA but Magellan are trying to keep it quite. The rubber seals design was also found to be very poor. I suggest you go with a case from Otterbox instead. You get a lot more value there that using a defective Magellan design. Gets one star because that is the minimum allowed. In truth you want to take a hammer to it not award stars *Don't Buy this is trash!!!*
