With the latest software updates to turn off the irrelevant screens, this device is awesome. The battery life is a bit less than ideal -- a fresh pair of alkaline AA's gets me about 3 or 4 caches, and you do have to recalibrate the compass each time you change batteries.
Speaking of, the magnetic compass makes getting your bearing on a cache when you're right next to it a breeze.
