Very accurate! The Paperless Geocaching eliminates the need for a seperate PDA in the field. The NG topo maps are great for finding trails, as well as the AccuTerra maps. Another really cool feature is the loop at the top of the GPS, that I use to hang the GPS while recovering the stash. Magellan had a rocky start with the Triton series, but things are looking up, way up. MiTak purchased Magellan's consumer division, and will be improving the units in the next few months (written 2-12-09). You will not be disappointed with this GPS. If you follow product reviews, you can see a trend towards the 4 or 5 star rating in the last few months. This is my third Triton 2000 unit within my first year of caching. Both units had serious software issues and locked up. I currently use one as a Christmas Tree decoration as a reminder. The software that comes with the Magellan is not easy to use so I don't use it. The unit self works great for Geocaching. Touch screen works well in day light. Can use any stylus on the screen so you don't have to use the small one they give you. Very accurate unit and easy to use. (As long as I don't have to get another one)

We have two Triton 2000's and love them!! The touch screen is wonderful. They lock on to satellites easily and are dead-on 99% of the time. We also have an external antenna to use when in thick cover. Yes, there was a learning curve and a few headaches when we started with them, but we have mastered the use of them and would not change to any other brand!!
