Just got a secondhand one of these, once I bought a lead, uploaded the latest firmware to the Triton and put the right version of VantagePoint (1.60) on my PC it became a great little unit. Before then it was tricky to use and horrible to enter co-ordinates on. Very good display and the Google based maps I have created and put on it are perfect for what I want. I has some nice Geocaching features, my previous Magellan only had waypoints to work with. Triton 300 is the same as the 200 but should come with a USB lead.

Pros: - Hint, short and long description loadable on the unit - Low price (I paid less than 100US$) for a full color display - www.tritonforum.com (great help there!) - Possibility to install custom map (gmapmaker and tritonrmp) Cons: - Must use Vantage Point; no direct link to GC or GSAK - Connect to Vantage Point not always consistent - Poor Magellan Support - A few shortcut missing while in the field (able to find what I need but many strokes required; get use to however ...) - No SD card support (need to upgrade to Triton 400)

It worked ok, although trying to hook it to the computer was a pain. It also wouldnt actually turn off, just go into sleep mode no matter what I did with the power button. But one day after a couple months of no use, I took it out to use and spent a full half hour on a nice day trying to get a signal. It wouldn't. The actual GPS capability was DEAD. I tried contacting magellan, who just told me to turn it off and on again, and if that didn't work they'd sell me a refurbished one. It did not work, and I'm not giving them more money for a device that may die just as oddly.
