I really like this GPS. We did have trouble with the first one we bought. We had to send it back and when we got it back it has worked great.

No projection is a problem. (Keep a Mag 330 - 315 just for this reason.) It would be nice to have the distance to cache - waypoint on the map screen. I like having the NG Topo maps right at hand on the unit. Vantage Point with the NG Topo maps overlaid with live tracking is better then either one standing alone. Upgraded software keeps getting better.

Magellan Triton 500 is a very good GPS. It has a lot of user friendly applications great for Geocaching. Vantagepoint works really well and interfaces with computer to maintain a database for all the caches you want to find. I give it a 4-5 star rating. Would like to be able to download street maps for the GPS.
