Find #2500!!! I have been waiting for a while to attempt this one and today was the day. So very cool that this one is still around after 9 years! Thanks to Vorticity for his TLC to keep this one alive. I now have found all three of the remaining active caches that were placed in 2000. The views were awesome on a cool yet crystal clear day. Arrived up top right about noon after a hike of about .83 miles from the nearest parking. Oops, did not realize that High Drive was closed for the season. Actually had to wait out two muggles who were there to finish up their lunch before attempting to locate this one. Gave me a good reason to relax and enjoy the spectacular views. Once alone, found the cache after a search. Very interesting to read through some of the old log sheets. Grabbed the trackable to move along. This is what geocaching is all about! Thanks to all for keeping the fun going...Happy Caching...

This one has been on my list for a long time but somehow I never made it up there. I'm working on the Jasmer Challenge(GC20B2T) that requires you to get a caches hidden in each month since the site started. I was closer than I thought but I still need several more caches from 2000 and 2001. I got Happy Rocks and then made my way over to this one. Thanks for keeping these classics running. The coords in kjklock's log were quite helpful in finding this one. I traded trackables and I'll upload some pictures too. TFTC

A last minute emergency kept from getting out to the 4x4 event this morning, so once the crisis was over I came down here (up here?) instead. I didn't spot any lady bugs at all on the hike up, and I wasn't sure if they were still going to be at the summit. Indeed, they are still there in great number, clinging to tree trucks and rocks. At first I thought I was seeing a red plant growth, maybe a lichen, but upon closer inspection it was ladybugs. I found the cache after about a 20 minute search. My GPS was leading me about 60 feet away. It's nice to finally find this old one. Thanks for the fun.

One more old cache of the list. Now this is a cache location worthy of a cache. No micro in the woods next to a roadside parking lot. My dog was a little worn out but the hike wasn't to bad. The ladybugs everywhere made the location even more amazing. Thanks for keeping this cache alive.
