This place is creepy...
Enter the woods at N41 35.75 W071 43.23. The trail starts off pretty easy. After crossing a small wooden bridge, go left when the trail splits. The trail will quickly split again, take a right this time. You will start climbing a steep hill with wooden steps. At the top, you will see the first of several abandoned buildings being engulfed by the forest. Continue on the trail, and you will eventually come to what appears to have been the main area of the camp. At this point, veer off the trail, and look for the cache.
THE RULES:
1. BLAZE ORANGE CLOTHING IS MANDATORY FROM OCTOBER THROUGH FEBRUARY.
2. DO NOT ENTER ANY OF THE OLD ABANDONED BUILDINGS! PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL UNTIL CLOSE TO THE CACHE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO NEAR ANY BUILDING TO ACCESS THE CACHE.
3. HAVE FUN!
After finding the cache, if you continue on the main trail and take a left at the crossroads, you will find more buildings.
The book that led me to this area describes the area as the "long abandoned Beach Pond Camps Complex". This is all I know about the area. If anyone has any info about the history of this area, please post it here.
