There is a tale of mystery
about the Runyon Troll.
There are many many versions
that the locals all have told.
He lived beneath a wooden bridge
hiding in the grass.
He was a greedy little man
that wouldn't let anyone pass.
When someone came to cross the bridge,
he'd jump out with a scare.
Almost every person would run away;
Stay? They wouldn't dare!
For those who stayed and needed to cross;
there was a price to pay.
He took their goods, then let them go
and tucked it all away.
Well, rumor has it, there's more to tell;
he had quite a stash.
