Geocache Description:

Typical Alphabet container - about the diameter of a film can but twice the length.

The Alphabet Caches again head north of the river. This is the site of the former Imeson Airport, Jacksonville's major airport until Jacksonville International Airport (JIA) was built and opened for business on Oct 31, 1968. On October 11, 1927, Lindbergh flew here in the "Spirit of St. Louis" to help dedicate the new municipal airport originally known as Jacksonville Municipal Airport Number One, the airfield was renamed in July 1948 in honor of Thomas Cole Imeson. Imeson had been the city commissioner in charge of highways and sewers before his death in March 1948. Should be an easy find. As always BYOP :)
