This will be a trash-out/geocaching event meet and greet combo. I would really like to make this an annual event. This is at the exact spot where geocaching first began back on May 3, 2000. To celebrate this most-revered geocaching day, stop by the above coordinates around 12 noon and help clean up a bit. I have been hearing this place is in need of some help lately. I will be coming up from Arizona and giving the Plaque some much-needed TLC on this day as well. I know this will fall on a Monday and many of you will not be able to make it (unless you are suddenly sick and NEED a 3-day weekend, cough, cough!), but I can't think of a better day to be here, or any greater way to show support for the sport than by giving this area a good CITO. Either way, rain or shine, I will be there cleaning up. For those that do decide to come out, plan on grabbing some lunch and chatting a while afterwards at the nearby restaurant just up the road. The Original Can of Beans (recovered from the First Geocache) will be making its return appearance at this event. Hope to see you there, and meet some PDX area cachers! Thank you.
UPDATE (4/2/2004)- There will be no need to haul off the trash we pick up, as the gracious people at B+B Sanitation will have a garbage truck stop by and pick up all the bagged trash that is collected here!
