indianaballoonman: Sadly, I do not know when I will be able to replace the cache. I have had to archive it. But - it is still a great spot to visit!

Geocache Description:

Near the ruins of an old mill, Plassey Mill, and near Plassey Bridge (a.k.a. Black Bridge)

The cache has probably been "stolen". I used to work for an American airline (ATA) ad got there often, but have just today (8 April 2005) been furloughed (made excess, some say) and I may not be able to check on the cache, or replace it. But it is a WONDERFUL historic spot, and worth a visit! I have changed it to a virtual cache. Old text follows....
Small Rubbermaid sandwich box, it contains a log, Stuart Little on a skateboard, and Canadian and American coins. It took a LOT of research to learn the date of the mill ruins and bridge nearby, they date to 1824. Please take a trash bag to pack some deritus out of this site following your visit!
Your best bet is to take the #308 University bus from the corner of William Street and Little Catherine Street in Limerick. Get off the bus at 52 degrees, 40.297 N, 8 degrees, 34.551 minutes west. Consider walking the river path from the cache back to Limerick, it is a lovely walk!
There is parking in the area, but permits may be required as it is a college campus. You must go "inside" the mill, then work back toward the mill stream. Cache is under ground cover on a mound overlooking the stream.
I revisited the cache February 1, 2004. It's there! Go through the hole in the wall, then past the campfire at the base of the "tower". Go maybe twenty feet toward the mill stream, up a rise. The cache is at the top of the highest rise, at the base of a multiply-trunked tree, within a foot of the base on the university side, under the ground cover. It looks blue and red from the top, about 8 inches square. Try again!!! If you want, I can e-mail a short movie clip of the walk from the tower to the cache. -Phil
