Rock Town, Crockford- Pigeon Mountain WMA, Georgia
Difficulty Factor: 3
GGA 2002 Outstanding Cache

This is the stash that killed my cheap digital camera. This one combines a stash hunt and a maze game. The stash is hidden on the far side of a karst feature that consists of an approximately one to three acre maze of 20 to 40 foot high, tight narrow canyons that criss-cross and interconnect. Just to make life interesting, think about what you will get as far as satellite coverage while you're in there:) A compass might help... It's a 1.2 mile, flat and level, hike to Rock Town.

Okay, you could 'climb' the rocks and use your GPS, but that's up to you.

Sorry about the lack of pictures! I'm going to be in the area this weekend and will try to get up there with a camera.

This could possible be the most interesting area I have ever hiked to. Just remember, the rocks are slippery in the morning. Took travel bug. TFTC

I had a lot of fun caching with The Waysiders today at Rocktown and I felt like I was part of Geocaching history as I signed the log of one of the oldest caches in Georgia. Took TB and left some hand warmers. Thanks for the cache.

The Waysiders and Magichat completed the nearby Earth Cache first, then we perched on a large rock and had peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches, courtesy of Cabdriver. After lunch, we settled in to look for this cache. It's quite a maze in here, but we finally found it. The new coordinates are right on the money. We swapped out three travel bugs and traded an unactivated 2009 GGA geocoin for TheBisch's pathtag. Thanks for keeping this old cache going. We would have liked to have seen the original logbook, but we're proud to have our names in the new one.
