Geocache Description:

Note: The coordinates on this page are bogus. To find the cache, you must find Bernhard Herre's dogs, TB Klinge and TB Feiom.

Bernhard Herre (1812-1849) described this area as one of the wildest in Nordmarka. He came this way while looking for his two dogs, which had gone missing on a hunting trip. Distracted from the hunt, Bernhard describes the dirt-poor people struggling to carve out a living in these remote forests.
These days this place is rarely visited by others than the moose - which are plentiful. If you look well, however, there are also traces of a strange human presence.

The cache is a spacious plastic container. Initial content:
TB Bernhard
Gift for first finder: Bernhard Herres book "En Jægers Erindringer", new and giftwrapped
Log, pencil and stashnote
A Canadian geocoin
Two Bernhardese fear chasers
Business card box
Bernhard-cards
Micro-cards

Advisory: The cache is available in winter. Difficulty levels refer to winter visits. No prepared ski tracks lead to the cache area.
This is not an easy walk in the park. Plan for a full daytrip and bring food, drinks, a flashlight, and some dry clothes. If children come along, they need to be very motivated.
