A great overnight hike with great climbs, ocean swells and pirates booty!
Aye, Geocache matey. In and around December 1st, on a blustry and stormy afternoon, a bucket 'o' treasure was hidden in a wooded area in and around Refugee Cove, Nova Scotia. To find this cache, anchor your ship off the Minus Basin basin coastline and begin the trek along the ridgeline and valleys of the Chignecto Provincial Park. Your adventure will feature many ups and downs along a cliff-side and wooded-area trail. Half a day's adventure awaits you and will be best made if you pitch a shelter at your destination. If an overnighter tugs your beard, be sure to pay the bounty at the park entrance.
The booty contained in this cache was plundered from Nova Scotian landlubbers and comprises treasures akin to any pirate adventurer: two colonial lengths of gold beads; $20,000 Readers Digest money, fifteen gold chocolate shillings (even a pirate needs chocolate), a lantern and candles (for dark nights on the ship), a bandana (to keep that long scgraggly black hair under control), a Cape Breton Hiking Trails book (for highland hikes when ashore, watchout for the clansmen), a pigs ear (edible munch for furry companions), a HITCHHIKER Off-the-Gangplank Shark (watch his teeth), one bottle of Captain Morgan Rhum (hic!), a silk bag of bee-derived creams and oils, a buzz light year keychain (what in the bloody hell is that?), a bluenotes address binder, a pirate's mates logbook and lead writing tool.
