Geocache Description:

An important bridge in the history of Oslomarka

What's in a name? Most often not what you think. Lake Hakkloa in the heart of Oslomarka is a new form of the ancient term "Hadaklofa" - meaning the place where visitors from Hadeland crossed into the Oslo region in the old days. Mostly they were traders and farmers, taking their produce to the capital and its markets.
This area also saw the first settlements in this part of Norway by immigrants from Finland during the years of great migration westwards. In fact, the first one to make the leap from Finnskogen cleared his lot just down the street at what is now Hakkloa village.

The cache is a modified army food container.
Content as of 24.09 2008 incudes a fresh logbook, moose dropings, a Bernardese fear chaser, some weird CDs, cybercrime DVD and a toy cell phone,
The gift for first finder was a radio from the best pink paper in town
