Integrity Cache - $100.
I am establishing a cache for the month of January only. It will be placed on January 1, 2002, and it will be removed on January 31st. Its called the Integrity Cache. The only items inside the cache are the cache instructions, the log book and $100 in ten dollar bills in individual containers. How this cache is treated by Geocachers will tell us something about ourselves.
The rules are simple. When you find the cache, I encourage you to do one of three things:
1. Take nothing and record your discovery in the log book.
2. Take nothing and leave an item which is worth at least 10 dollars to you. (Please note I did not say leave an item with a value of ten dollars but an item you value at least ten dollars.)
3. Take a ten dollar bill or other item previously left, and leave an item which is worth at least 10 dollars to you. (Again please note I did not say leave an item with a value of ten dollars but an item you value at least ten dollars.)
At the end of the cache period, I will retrieve the cache. All cash, if any, remaining will go to one of the homeless shelters or soup kitchens in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. The rest of the items will be distributed to other appropriate charities such as Goodwill.
Please record your email address in the log book and I will report to you by email the results of this endeavor. If the log book is taken, I will report to you through the Website.
How do you know I just won’t keep all the stuff? That’s the integrity part. I’ve risked $100 in this experiment. I’ve asked each of you to be people of integrity and risk something you value at $10.00. If we are lucky, we will be able to help some people in need and have a good story to share. If we are not lucky. . .
Any questions, please email me at geofinder@hotmail.com.

This has to be the most watched unfound cache in history. There are as of the time I'm writing this, nearly 80 people watching the cache. However, only two persons have logged in on the Web site as having found the cache and only one person has actually signed the log book. I've been watching the discussion group with interest also. Good hunting.
