All geocachers are invited to a day of fun, food,
games and a special contest. March 27th at 11:00am.This great park is 1000acres with 12 miles of the
trails including some on the dikes in the lake. A link for the park can be
found at http://www.columbiacountyfla.com/ParksandRecreation.asp
The Parks Dept. has generously donated the use of a huge pavilion for the
days activities. We will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers cooked by the official
NEFGA cook. We encourage everyone to bring assorted salad and such to
go along with the meal.
The Goal of this event is to help bring
Geocaching to the awareness of the community of Lake City. Lake City is a
growing area for NEFGA and we are taking this opportunity to help
FloridaSurveyor showcase Geocaching here. We are looking forward to having many
new people from the community and to put our best foot forward with the local
parks and recreation people.
