Otis Redding sang, "sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away." You're in for a treat when you find this location, for it has the tides, the world famous Golden Gate Bridge, the Rock (Alcatraz) and mist from the bay. It's one of Geocaching's most visited sites!!! And hey, congratulations to all the visitors, this cache has more than 1200 logged visits, one of the most venerable caches of all time anywhere!!! Way to go SF.
This is regarded as one of Geocaching's most revered sites. Thanks for all the compliments from all those who have visited. I highly recommend this as an after dark cache on a clear night.

It's real easy to get to...with a slight twist. Whoever said that good things are hard to come by hasn't been to this vista point. It has a nice history (click on user's web page above), but the view says it all. The organ does not come with the monkey. Mother Nature plays the music.

Note: Apparently, there's also a letterbox near this cache, so don't mistake it for this cache and please don't take that game's rubber stamp, it's the main part of the game. Let's be good neighbors.

A note about TB's. This used to be a great TB motel, but muggles have been raiding them, so PLEASE DO NOT leave TB's here for the time being. It's disappointing, but for the TB's well being, don't place any here for the next few months.

Please replace the cache carefully and keep it well hidden. There are those pesky muggles all the time so be stealthy. It's a smallish container so bring small stuff. Beware, it's tricky to find, but enjoy the hunt, it's a lot like looking for Easter eggs!

Come visit one of San Francisco's busiest Geocaching spots. Come by and find out why. And if you can, post some pictures, they're fun to see. This is a great cache if you're biking or just a place to chill out. My appreciation for the folks who help maintain and keep this cache going.

12:30 am and Surfcal was right, a clear night is a good time to come to this cache. Clear skys beat out the weather forcasts so I took time to find a couple of caches before leaving the city. My wife had pushed me out to this breakwater two years ago in a wheelchair after an injury to watch the Blue Angels air show. We never came to the end though and it was cool to be back and discover the Wave Organ all the way out. SL, TNLN, TFTC!

What a beautiful day and a beautiful spot! Sailboats racing right in front of us were beautiful (pix coming). Plantings have been redone, had to dig out cache and replant some of the new plants! Left it a little better hidden but not needing a shovel. This should be a required cache for any SF visitor/cacher! Took Thompson geocoin. SL TFTC!!!

Rain was predicted but sun was out with clouds ranging from bright to black. There were very friendly chatty volunteers at the site, re-planting and having lunch at ground zero. I gave up on getting the cache and logging in but what a glorious walk in mid-winter. TFTH.

I took a wrong approach at first, but discovered the error quickly! The walk was longer than originally expected, but it was well worth it! This is a great spot!!! Thank you very much for bringing me here! I didn't read the cache discription prior and I did leave a TB. I hope another cacher gets it before the mugglers!!! TFTC
