Geocache Description:

This multistage will start out in the Snellville area, depending on traffic you can complete this cache in about 2-3 hours. You will need to bring a calculator, some simple math is involved, as well as plenty of water for the walk at the end.

There are a total of 12 locations varying from 0.38 – 4.59 miles apart with #12 being the cache location. Those that have a GPS with maps of local streets will find this easier than those who don’t. But if you ask me I think its more fun not knowing what roads you need to take.

The lat/long for the first location have been provided. Once at the first location you will need to use some simple math to get the lat/long for the second location. Once you reach Location 2, small tags placed on manmade objects will list the Lat/Long of the next location. All locations are in parks, on street signs, or in business parking lots. I recommend printing this page and taking it with you.

For each of the 12 locations there is a hint in the spoiler info.

Location 1.
Begin your adventure at N33° 51.447’/ W084° 01.228’. You will need to know the number of bulbs in the traffic lights in this intersection to reach location 2.

Location 2
N33° A x 1.4169 = BB.BBB W84° A x 0.02543 = CC.CCC For this formula “A” will be the number of bulbs, “B” will equal the minutes of Latitude, and “C” will equal the minutes of Longitude. Round your answers to fit WGS84 format. Once at this location you will be looking for a small white tag attached to a manmade object. This tag will give the coordinates for the next location. Guess, or get this # wrong and you could be over 55 miles away from the correct location.

***NOTE*** 12-12-2002 Sign the tag was on at location 7 was removed for construction. When at the area of location 7 look South for 2 handicapped parking signs. Tag will be on the back of one of the signs.

To get from Location 11 – 12 you will need to cross a road. At this point you will more than likely be on foot. (Although it would be interesting to see someone drive the last couple stages!) Once you have the final cords subtract .372 from the N cords and .447 from the W cords to get to the trails intended road crossing. Once at this location you will clearly see the trailhead on the opposite side.

Location 12 is the final location. The cache itself is in a large ammo can, which is in plain site. It is not necessary to dig around looking for the container. Just take your time, you will find it.

There is a Cache Camera in this one, be sure to take a picture of yourself with the camera, log which frame you used, and leave it for others to use.

Please do not give any hints as to the park for the final locations or the placement of the cache in your log entry. Also try to put the cache back as best you can so others may find it just as easily, it is not necessary to cover this one up due to its location in the park being very unused. It took me about 10 trips to the final cache area over the course of 4 months to find the perfect location in an unused area of the park away from the trails. I left a dummy cache ammo box sitting out there in early November, left it for 2 months in the open at the final location just to see if it would be taken or bothered. Once you find it you will see why I was so picky.

The original Contents include items ranging in original value from $1 - $90 Texas Instruments Avigo PDA with all original CD’s, manuals etc, and docking station (see my note for further info), custom made Geocaching.com 26’ window decal (see pic), 3 Stephen King books on tape, 2 matchbox cars, emergency blanket, key chain label maker, Target gift card, a yo-yo, 4 AA's and GeoRover #2 traveler.

2nd note! While working on this cache, I found that another cache is in this same part of town as the final location. Please do not put any hints in your logs as to which cache may be in the area.
