Olympic Hot Springs Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

UtahJean: This cache was unfortunately disrupted (blown up) by the bomb squad on 9-10-02. Apparently, someone thought a location by the side of a pond at a public wildlife viewing area next to a hot springs runoff canal was an inappropriate location. Go figure. UtahJean

Geocache Description:

Please check the co-ords. I had a typo. Really, really sorry. The updated coordinates are: N 40 48.891 W111 55.723

Besides the fog-manufacturing spa facilities (obvious when it's cold like today), this would be a good place to hold some of the Olympic ice skating events...or to birdwatch, whatever. Have driven past here a zillion times way over there on the other side but didn't know you could actually get here. Neat spot, different perspective. There is even an Olympic flame nearby, in fact several, well, sort of.

The variety of items in this cache includes something very special--the Team Canada Travel Bug--which is also the Rings cachunut #71. Check out the travel nut webpage and cachunuts.com to learn about them. Watch out for mud.
