East Mountain Area off of Crest Highway(NM536) near Doc Long & Sulphur Picnic Grounds and also the Tree Spring Trailhead. About a 1.5 to 2.5 mile hike with the cache at an elevation of 8000 feet.
Cache is a 4 inch black PVC pipe about a foot long. The cache is approximately 300 feet off of the trail. You can park at Sulphur PG Elev. 7500 ft (Sulphur Trailhead N35 10.482, W106 22.904) with a 1.8 mile hike or park at Doc Long PG elev. 7500 (Bill Spring Trailhead N35 10.645, W106 22.779) with a 1.2 mile hike or park at Tree Spring Trailhead elev. 8500 ft N35 11.631, W106, 24.284 with a 2.6 mile hike. All three require an annual parking permit or pay $3.00 at the parking lot. It's for a good cause as most all of the money stays in the Sandia Ranger District for improvements, maintenance, etc. Wear some good waterproof boots in the winter.

Yep, took the bushwhacking route with CougarOx and Bronco. Take this route ONLY if there isn't any wind -- it wouldn't take much to make those dead trees fall. TFTC

NMFireHorse, bronco the geo-pup and I bushwhacked our way over from the road, up the old road for a bit and then over. I don't know if the long route on trails or the short bushwhacking route is harder, but I suspect that in the end they are equivalent. GZ has bouncy coordinates, but geosense helps. XNSL, and TFTC!

Ultrafast find while caching with Churchmouse92 in the mountains. Came straight over from Crimson Razorback and took a different path back. TFTC!

Found directly. Used the trail. I love a good bushwhack and considered it the other day when I got "Crimson Razorback" but it didn't seem prudent. All of the potential dead falls spooked me I guess and it was windy. I must be growing up! I thought of filing some kind of geosexual discrimination case as this cache is full of girly stuff, ha ha! TN/LN. TFTC!
