Waterboy: Cache was removed today. My thanks to all finders and those who have written about this cache. The wife and I enjoyed it, and hope all that read this message also enjoyed it.

We removed it since we felt we had too many caches, and this is the cache that is furthest from home, and thus the hardest to maintain, and we did not want this to become geotrash.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located about 200 feet from the Appalachian Trail (AT) in High Point State Park, NJ. The location is south of State Route 23 and north of Deckertown Pike.

There are several ways of approaching this cache, the shortest and prettiest being about 2 ½ miles. This from AT parking area on Route 23. If you would like to take a loop hike the Iris Trail is a wonderful return route. If you park on route 23 stop at the park office where you can obtain a good map at no cost. Other hiking map that cover this area are NYNJTC Trail map 18 or Appalachian Trail Map 5 for NY/NJ.
