This is something you don't see everyday, an old rock quarry with a scenic view. Bring your picnic basket and binoculars!
A carpet of moss awaits you at the cache site with a wonderful view of the river, the Columbia Gorge, and a neat little cove. For those with binoculars there is what looks to be a soon active eagles nest at a bearing of 240° across the cove from the cache. A pair of eagles were occupying the nest the day I placed the cache.
Exit I-84 at Cascade Locks and work your way to the north end of town to find the area.
PLEASE NOTE: There are loose rocks along the edges in the area of the cache. Children should be supervised. Cache is a small green ammo box.
