Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

This is easily a 3 hour hike across some rough terrain, but the view will reward you.
The cache is in a small ammo box and includes extra ziplocks for your trade items.

Take plenty of water on your hike. Caprock Canyons can be hot and the cache is several miles from the nearest parking area (the equestrian campground) across rough terrain.

It is best to follow the hiking trails to get there. The soil is sandy and can give way under you if you try climbing in the canyons.

Great view.....beautiful day to be out caching in the Canyon! Followed a couple on horseback all around the trails. Came down from the cache and took the Mesa Trail north all around to the Group Pavillion out to the parking lot........and back down the road toward the Wild Horse camping area where I had parked......well the site map indicated the parking and the horse camping were just next to each other.....not so.....I walked about two more miles down the road to get back to my car......I had plenty of water and hitched a ride from Scenic Overlook to the horse camping. Walked right by it on our hike yesterday! Just didn't look at my GPS to see if a cache was near by. No loss, I did find the other caches in the park. Great place to spend time!

Thanks for putting your cache in this park.

Out early (for us) to hike to this cahe. How could it take 3 hours, it's only 1.25 miles away? It took us just 10 minutes under 3 hours. What a beautiful bit of exercise. GPS pointed at one but we found it at the other. Cache full of good swag. T keyring, L deck of cards, TFTC
